To implement the program "Development of urban agriculture, hi-tech agriculture and building a new rural commune model of Tan Uyen town in 2020-2025 period", Standing Committee of Tan Uyen Town Party determine to develop Bach Dang and Thanh Hoi communes to become the main agricultural production areas of Tan Uyen town following the urban ecological agriculture model by maximizing comparative advantage and optimal use of input resources to create economic efficiency, higher competitiveness; at the same time, to exploit the strengths of specialty pomelos, to develop ornamental plants, and safe vegetables in combination with tourism development.

Accordingly, the town focus on improving orchards of specialty fruit trees in Bach Dang commune, Thanh Hoi vegetable collective brand, improving the quality of orchards; apply new technology in preservation; change the cultivation method combined with gardening tours; building many models of garden houses, diverse agricultural products combined with practical experiences to attract tourists.

Besides, the town promote the application of advanced science and technology, the transfer of urban agricultural production models, and hi-tech agriculture in production. Namely, through agricultural extension programs, science and technology transfer programs, transfer of scientific and technical advances to people for application in production practice, implementation of demonstration sites; organize workshops to evaluate the efficiency and extension of the models; organize a study tour, exchange experience of effective local production models in order to research and apply into local production development investment.

The town also associate with schools to organize professional training for farmers and create favorable conditions for farmers to access and update scientific and technical information to apply into practical production; strengthen propagation and communication for farmers to convert farming methods from traditional farming to safe and sustainable production in order to create clean products to meet demands of domestic and export markets.
