Bad debt ratio of banking system is within allowed limit

Although facing difficulties, due to the impacts of Covid-19 pandemic, but the bad debt ratio of the province’s banking system has remained within the controlled limit of less than 3% of the total outstanding loans

According to statistics by the State Bank of Vietnam’s Binh Duong Branch, so far, the bad debt ratio of the local banking system has been VND 978 billion, accounting for 0.43% of the total outstanding loans.

Currently, province-based credit institutions continue closely monitoring as well as implementing synchronous solutions, strictly controlling over the quality of consumption, the growth rate of investment in securities loans and real estate products to limit risks while making the shift of credit structure in the direction of mobilizing loans for production and business, improving credit quality in order to limit new bad debts.
