The waste water treatment station of the My Phuoc 1 Industrial Park

The Investment and Industrial Development Corporation (Becamex IDC) has always developed under the motto “Economic development in association with environmental protection”. In fact that the majority of businesses operating in the  industrial parks (IPs)invested by Becamex IDC have ensured to be “green businesses” for environment…

 

Realizing that environment is one of the important things to attract investors, Becamex IDC has paid more attention to investing and developing its green tree system and waste water treatment system…, according to Nguyen Van Thanh Huy, head of the corporation’s Economic-Technical Department.

 

Mr.Huy said that Becamex IDC has used 100 ha in Bau Bang in Ben Cat district to grow various green trees at its IPs’demand for green trees. Becamex IDC now owns a modern waste water treatment system to meet requirements about environmental protection. It has also invested 13 waste water treatment stations; issued standards about waste water treatment for businesses working in its IPs; carried out monitoring and control of the waste water treatment of businesses in its IPs…

 

Among businesses pouring investment into the IPs invested by Becamex IDC,  the wholly-foreign invested Nutifood Vietnam Joint Stock Company is a role model business in building the waste water treatment system of class A with daily capacity of 300 cu.m. Four other businesses, namely Panko Vina Co.Ltd., Chanh Duong Co.Ltd, Sanmiler Vietnam Joint Venture Co., and Vina Kraft Co.Ltd., have also well realized environmental protection and invested the waste water treatment systems of class A.

 

Thanks to its efforts in investing infrastructure, making reasonable leasing prices, especially creating a friendly environment…, Becamex IDC has reaped many successes with its Ips that have fully been covered by investment projects from Japan, South Korea, U.S, Singapore…, contributing 40% of total projects and investment capital for the local industrial development. So far, Becamex IDC’s total capital has amounted to VND2trillion, up more than VND1.6trillion compared to 2005 and seen continuous growth in revenue and profit.

 

Many significant works invested and built by Becamex IDC, including Binh Duong Avenue, the My Phuoc, Vietnam-Singapore, Thoi Hoa industrial parks, Binh Duong Industrial-Service-Urban Complex, the My Phuoc-Tan Van highway, Binh Duong new city…have also contributed to promoting the local industrialization and modernization process.
