According to the development orientation of the agricultural project and rural farmers approved by the People's Committee of Dau Tieng district, the countryside in the district is now divided into 3 sub-regions.

Accordingly, Sub-region I includes the urban center of administrative, industrial services and eco-tourism with Dau Tieng town and Dinh Thanh and Thanh An communes and a part of Dinh Hiep, An Lap and Thanh Tuyen communes. Sub-region II develops industrial and service urban areas, including Long Hoa and Long Tan communes and a part of An Lap and Thanh Tuyen communes. Sub-region III develops high-tech agriculture in association with eco-tourism with communes of Minh Hoa, Minh Thanh, Dinh An, Minh Tan and a part of northern Dinh Hiep commune.
