With a large area of growing rubber trees, Dau Tieng One-Member Rubber Ltd.Co. has faced difficulties to protect its rubber gardens, especially in the period of the rubber latex price on rise. And young workers herein have expressed their role in protection of company properties.

 The company’s Youth Union over time set up 11 voluntary youth squads with 919 members at 11 rubber plantations. Their main tasks are to boost education, protection of company properties and social evils prevention, contributing to keeping order and situation of the company and the locality.

Upon the real situation, the company’s voluntary youth squads have made their concrete working programs with the slogan of “Company youths are in the vanguard of preventing rubber latex stealing and determined not to steal rubber latex…”. They normally work from 11am to 18pm daily and they also arrange forces on duty at night.

The voluntary youth squads have so far excelled at protecting company properties; had closely coordination with company safeguards to be on watch at complicated places and those along residential areas. Especially, they and company safeguards discovered 6,272 rubber latex burglars, took back 7,865 liters of rubber latex, 15,822 kg of rubber latex and 436 various means of transport, contributing to helping the company fulfill and exceed the set targets.

The above results done by the voluntary youth squad have also made great impact on awareness of company staff in keeping and protecting company properties.
