Dau Tieng district has focused on implementing  the "dual goal" of fighting against the Covid-19 prevention and boosting economic development, ensuring the lives of the local people and striving to fulfill the set targets in 2020.

Amid the complicated development of Covid-19 pandemic, Dau Tieng district has continued drastically carrying out preventative measures while maintaining the “dual goal” of fighting against the pandemic and boosting economic development. Nguyen Phuong Linh, Chairman of Dau Tieng district’s People’s Committee said that the district’s considerable results in Covid-19 prevention and control has given strength to the locality in maintaining the “dual goal”, ensuring the local production-business activities.

With appropriate solutions, the district has given timely support for enterprises and locals amid the complicated development of Covid-19 prevention. The operations of district-based enterprises have been guaranteed with gradual recovery. In order to absorb more industrial development projects, promoting socio-economic development to 2025, the district’s People’s Committee has proposed provincial Department of Planning and Investment to supplement additional 7 industrial compounds in Thanh An, An Lap and Dinh Hiep communes with a total area of 524.68hectares to the province’s overall development plan.

Especially, the district has helped enterprises remove their obstacles in production-business; effectively carried out the Government’s solutions and instructions. From now to late 2020, the district will further implement the Government’s Resolution No.35/NQ-CP dated May 16, 2016 on supporting and developing enterprises; promote startup activities among people…

The district’s total production value over the past 8 months was estimated at more than VND10,3trillion or 58.2% of the year’s plan. Of these, the district’s industrial production and construction value was more than VND4.44trillion or nearly 55% of the year’s plan. Trade-service value was more than VND3.77trillion or 68.4% of the year’s plan while agricultural production value was more than VND2.18trillion or 51.5% of the year’s plan. The district’s State budget collection was nearly VND775billion or 55.7% of the year’s estimate. District-based bank branches worked very stably. The total mobilized capital of district-based credit organizations was more than VND4.92trillion with total outstanding loans at more than VND2.88trillion…

So far, the district has absorbed 19 enterprises and 11 home industrial facilities with total capital of more than VND380billion. Thanh An industrial compound has been put into operation while An Lap industrial compound has also lured investors. The district has continued coordinating with functional agencies to carry out the expanded Bau Bang industrial park project in Long Tan commune with 969 hectares…

The district’s irrigational works have also ensured irrigation for the local agricultural production. In addition, the district has tightened control over Can Nom lake; implemented a plan against natural disaster in 2020.

Reportedly, the district’s economic growth over the past 8 months was still maintained at a high level. This will be the premise for the district to continue well realizing its targets on socio-economic growth amid the complicated development of Covid-19 pandemic.
