Economic efficiency from industrial parks

Part 3: Province-based industrial bound for sustainable development

Province-based industrial parks (IPs) are very attractive for investment in the eyes of foreign investors. For their sustainable development, the province has focused on promoting many necessary services, including building the projects of urban estates, traffic systems, schools, hospitals…

Former General Secretary Nong Duc Manh has spoken highly of the contributions of Binh Duong-based Ips to the local economic development

Further perfecting infrastructure

For its IPs to be more attractive for investors, the province will further perfect infrastructure while promoting the development of urban, vocational training and traffic projects. Noticeably, many such projects are now underway, including the Binh Duong new city with 1,000 ha…

The Tan Van-My Phuoc highway project is considered as having the most important significance for province-based IPs. With total length of 30km, the highway is built by Becamex under the Build-Operate-Transfer (BOT) form with a total investment capital of more than VND3.5trillion.

According to provincial Department of Planning and Investment Director Huynh Van Trai, the Tan Van-My Phuoc highway project not only makes great contributions to stabilizing the local investment attraction, but also creates the new face of the local IPs in the coming time. It will also help opening a new opportunity for the sustainable and constant development of the local IPs.

Bending on improving human resources

For sustainable development, province-based IPs will put focus on promoting the development of industries with high technologies that make products with great competiveness. The development of educational infrastructure and human resources training need to be promoted to effectively the above-mentioned target.

The whole province now has 7 universities and 6 colleges together with some key educational projects, including those of Mien Dong International University, Viet Duc University, Thu Dau Mot University…that are underway. Noticeably, Mien Dong International University is built on a 26.4 ha area with a total investment capital of nearly VND2trillion. This year, the school will enroll students in fields of electricity-electronics, software technology, communications-computer network, business administration…, contributing to training hi-quality human resources at businesses’requirements.

Ensuring public welfare for laborers at the local IPs is also seen as the top concern of the province to have a stable workforce. Under the support of the province, investors of many local IPs have attached special importance to building public works to serve the lives of laborers while providing a lot of incentive policies for them…Thanks to the above-mentioned things well implemented, many local Ips, namely VSIP, Song Than, Dong An, My Phuoc, Bau Bang, South Tan Uyen have over time reached stability of human resources, helping their businesses effectively work.

Possibly speaking, the success of the local IPs has generated a fever for the local fast industrial development. This success is attributed by the clear-sighted leadership of the local leaders and the consensus between the local people and government in realizing the goals for strong country and prosperous people…
