 Energy audit, a practical measure for businesses

 Provincial Department of Industry and Trade (DoIT)’s Industrial Promotion Center has well realized the national target program on energy saving and boosted measures on economical and efficient use of energy. People and businesses have also had good implementation for the targets of the program. 

Electricity saving is one of measures to help businesses reduce their input costs

 In addition to acting as an advisor to provincial People’s Committee for putting forth energy saving programs, the department has organized training and dissemination on electricity safety and saving on the mass media; cooperated with Southern Electricity Corporation and Binh Duong Electricity Company to make inspection of public lightening system management units and State agencies on energy saving…

 In 2011, the department boosted dissemination of information on economical and efficient use of energy to people and businesses. It also suggested businesses that have electricity consumption at around 6mln kilowatt-hours a year to set up their energy management departments, help them make energy audit every three years.

 The province’s total electricity output consumed in 2011 was 5.766 billion kilowatt-hours. The ratio of electricity output saved was 78%, exceeding 27.8% compared to the target of Southern Electricity Corporation. This result came from the efforts of authorities, people and businesses in the task of energy saving.

 Energy saving is money saving

 Making investment into electricity-saving equipment and learning to maintain production at the lowest cost have helped province-based businesses enhance their competitive ability, contributing to stabilizing the prices of many products.

 For energy saving getting higher efficiency, provincial DoIT will further apply research subjects on electricity-saving equipment and make inspection of businesses consuming a big amount of electricity and ask for them to observe the State’s regulations relating to electricity.

 The department will also organizing training courses on economical and efficient use of energy for laborers and have reward and punishment policies to promote economical and efficient use of energy… But, according to deputy director of provincial DoIT, awareness of saving energy among users is one of the efficient ways.
