Consumption market is always a decisive element for the development of agricultural production. If it sees stability, farmers will keep their mind on production, promoting the sustainable development of the agricultural sector. But, the fact showed that consumption market for farm produce in the province has not been ensured yet and it has been still the top concern of the local farmers.

Realizing that the mushroom-growing model brings high economic efficiency, but farmers in Phu Giao do not dare to expand it, due to worry about consumption market. Another thing is that farmers have to buy their farm produce, even those with hi-economic value like rubber latex for small dealers, bringing them disadvantages. 

To create a stable consumption market for farm produce, the province needs to have the efforts from many sides, including farmers, business people, scientists and the State. They need to create a close cooperation towards the sustainable and safe development of the agricultural sector.

Nguyen Thanh Thuy, director of Nguyen Thanh Thuy Co. in Ben Cat district said that her company and many other fruit companies  need to have support from the local authorities to enjoy the legal personality to be able to directly export their products to foreign market. Whilst, Nguyen Van Khai, a farmer in Ben Cat district said: “…The local authorities need to give more support for farmers to bring the local farm produce to the world market…”.

Helping the local farmers have reasonable production is also an important element, creating closer linkage in production and consumption among them. The birth of agricultural cooperatives will help farmers reduce risks in production and improve the productivity and quality of their farm produce.
