Provincial Department of Planning and Investment said that province-based FDI businesses in the first half of the year secured more than US$7bln in export turnover, up 16.4% compared to last year’s same period or 82.4% of the province’s total export value.

Also during the period, their import value was around US$5.98bln, up 16.6% compared to last year’s same period or 80.5% of the province’s total import value.

The number of laborers working for province-based FDI businesses reached more than 535,800, a year-on-year increase of 5%.
