Efforts made to ensure "dual goal"

According to Mai Ba Truoc, Director of Department of Planning and Investment, the Covid-19 has made bad impacts on businesses in the province. Among groups of businesses, companies most negatively affected are those that have been operating for less than 3 years, small and micro enterprises. The province has seriously and effectively implemented resolutions of the National Assembly and the Government on the dual task of strengthening epidemic prevention control measures while implementing solutions to stabilize the supply and demand markets for goods, remove difficulties, promote development for production and business, and ensure social security. Department of Planning and Investment also carried out and coordinated with relevant agencies to solve problems of inves.

The province has actively implemented support packages on monetary policy with focus on debt restructuring, interest rate exemption and reduction, credit support; some support policies to ensure social security; extend time limit for paying taxes and land rents; provide financial support for companies to pay wages to employees. However, a significant number of companies are unaware of the policy and have difficulty in accessing the support. Therefore, Provincial People's Committee recently agreed with Department of Planning and Investment on the establishment of Provincial Business Support Center to increase consulting, support, and training activities to help organizations and enterprises in the province improve competitiveness and capability of accessing development resources.

Mai Ba Truoc, Deputy Director of Department of Planning and Investment, said that with specific solutions, the province is implementing many Central and local policies to support enterprises. Department of Planning and Investment is also cooperating with relevant agencies to implement solutions to improve business environment, attract domestic and foreign investment to make good use of development opportunities, especially to seize investment capital flows from other countries. Department of Planning and Investment continues to accelerate the reform of administrative procedures, puts more effort to assist investors and businesses.
