Garment & textile exports surpass US$1bil

In the first seven months of this year, the provincial export turnover reached nearly US$8.034bil, a 13.3% increase compared with the same period last year.

 Some staple export items gained high values such as garment and textile of nealy US$1.014bil, timber and furniture of $902mil, telephone and telephone components of $657.7mil, footwear of $648.2mil, computer, electronics products and spare parts of $399.5mil, electric wire and cable of more $235.7mil and among others.

 

Notably, aside from supply of apparel and leather materials for local markets in this period, Binh Duong-based enterprises exported apparel and footwear materials with the total value of more than $168mil.

 

This result shows efficiency of investments in auxiliary industry for textile and garment and leather industries.
