International Finance Corporation (IFC) has agreed to support banks in implementing power saving programs by offering technical and specialist groups who visit and make quick auditing in enterprises to define chances of improving power efficiency.
Enterprises intending to make investment loans will be supported with 50% of charges for account auditing by IFC. The technical and specialist groups of IFC will help to review investment strategy, loans dossiers, and consultancy for individual enterprises. IFC also helps to conduct technical investigation and connect enterprise with technical supplier and banks.
Techcombank has agreed to participate in to power saving programs by investment of USD 50 million in 2 years, in which the credit amount is offered by IFC at USD 25 million for 7 years with a grace period of 2 years by negotiable interest rate. Vietinbank has also joined in with commitments to small and medium enterprises in the fields of bricks, ceramics, textile, and food processing.
