In recent years, thanks to the attention and direction of Provincial People's Committee and Ministry of Industry and Trade, the provincial industry and trade branch has guided and carried out industrial promotion activities to mobilize resources for investment in industrial, handicraft development, stimulate economic restructuring, labor structure towards industrialization and modernization. According to Nguyen Thuy Hang, Deputy Director of the Center, industrial promotion activities have supported, and encouraged many enterprises, industrial, handicraft production establishments to actively invest and renew their production lines, machinery, expand production scale, improve product quality, cooperate for market expansion, job creation, and labor efficiency improvement; encourage the establishment of new businesses and production model transformation.

According to Khuu Tu Chau, Director of Ngoc Chau Bamboo Chopsticks Company (Di An City), the production of bamboo products is considered one of the popular, eco-friendly production, and has brought important economic benefits to people in rural areas of Vietnam for a long time. However, in order to stand firm on the market, this "small" industry must try harder. The project "Supporting the application of advanced machines into the production of bamboo chopsticks" supported by industry and trade authority to Ngoc Chau Company is very necessary in the midst of labor scarcity. This support helped the company have favorable conditions for advanced machinery application into production, improving automation, using fuel more efficiently. The project has high competitiveness to actively penetrate into international markets, increase export turnover as well as domestic consumption. The benefits of this project are very practical and feasible, contributing to the diversification of industries in the province.

According to assessment of localities where enterprises and production establishments are entitled to preferential industrial promotion policy, industrial promotion fund creates favorable conditions for production establishments access preferential policies. Information on industrial and handicraft development contributes to a change in the awareness of Party committees at all levels, authorities and people to see more clearly the role, position and requirements of industrial and handicraft development.

To meet the market demand

Currently, with 500 product categories, every year the mechanical engineering industry meets about 35% of the domestic market's demand. Particularly in field of mechanical manufacturing and supplying complete equipment, Vietnam is considered to be at the same level with other countries in the region. Besides achievements as well as opportunities brought by FTAs, the mechanical industry also faces many difficulties. Nguyen Dinh Hung, Director of Thien Hung Technology Company (Thuan An City), said that the current system of old machines does not meet the requirements. In this situation, industrial promotion fund has supported this company. With a new production line, the company's product quality is improved, production cost is reduced, product price is also lower, and are favored by many customers.

This support has also contributed to heightening productivity. In particular, some companies increased their productivity by 400%, and 100% projects contributed to reducing environmental pollution. Using energy-saving technologies not only brings economic benefits to business households but also improves the craft village environment. Mr. Nguyen said that by applying the completely new SPC 2060 CNC Plasma cutting machine, machining index will be directly connected from the design engineer's computer drawing, machine operator just needs to press the start button. The machine will produce automatically, saving 50-60% labor and decreasing error index by + -0%. The manual cutting method takes much labor and the error rate with skilled workers is + -7%. After investing in machinery, the company will be able to fill orders with great potential for consumption in domestic markets and Asian, European markets.

To continue to be the large encouragement of small and medium-sized enterprises and production facilities, in the coming time, the Center will review and select organizations and facilities guaranteeing the conditions and standards to be entitled to provincial preferential policies, to guide the implementation of projects, and support qualified organizations. In order for industrial promotion fund to be effective, the Center will continue to stay close to enterprises and production facilities, grasp the progress of project implementation; cooperate with beneficiaries to complete projects according to plan.
