In the face of difficulties from Covid-19 pandemic, province-based Industrial Parks (Ips) Management Board has concentrated on rechecking and always got ready with the spirit of “fighting against the pandemic like fighting the enemy”, ensuring stability in production and business under the instruction of provincial People’s Committee. With the province’s support solutions, the efforts by enterprises, production-business activities in province-based Ips remain stable.

Adapting with new context

According to province-based Ips Management Board, the Ips now has a total of 2,933 valid investment projects, including 2,277 FDI projects with total registered capital of US$23.86billion and 656 domestic ones with total registered capital of more than VND73.83trillion. In 2020 alone, they absorbed more than VND6.75trillion in domestic capital, up 36.68% compared to 2019 or 388.23% of the year’s plan and US$1.09billion in FDI capital.

Workers have their body temperature checked before working

Bui Minh Tri, Head of province-based Ips’Management Board said that the Management Board has regularly monitored and supported enterprises to make isolation measures for experts, laborers from areas hit by Covid-19 pandemic; been proactive to catch the difficult situation of enterprises for timely solutions. With the above efforts, most enterprises in the Ips have stabilized their production-business activities and developed under the set orientations.

All of enterprises in province-based Ips have been proactive to implement measures against Covid-19 prevention. In recent days, the Management Board has actively propagandized, mobilized enterprises and laborers to take measures against the pandemic, including wearing face masks, frequently washing hands by soap or hand sanitizer, making body temperature checks, applying distancing among workers at workshops…Most enterprises herein have seriously realized regulations on Covid-19 prevention and control, ensuring stability in production. The province is actively instructing sectors, localities to create favorable conditions for enterprises and other economic sectors to promote their production-business activities in association with well controlling Covid-19 pandemic.

Further implementing “dual goal”

Amid the complicated development of Covid-19 pandemic, implementing the “dual goal” of Covid-19 prevention and economic development has not only helped enterprises stabilize their operations, but also maintained the local economic growth. With the spirit of “Safely living with Covid-19 pandemic”, province-based enterprises are carrying out solutions in a synchronous way for the highest efficiency.

Mr.Tri said that before the complicated development of the pandemic, the Management Board has still made efforts to maintain its targets of economic growth plan in 2021. The Management Board is focusing on seriously and effectively realizing measures against Covid-19 pandemic, including coordinating with the local administration to make isolation for experts, laborers from the pandemic-hit areas…

Along with Covid-19 prevention and control, the Management Board has been proactive to link enterprises needing laborers and vocational training facilities in the province. The Management Board has also joined hands with the Trade Union of the Ips to disseminate measures against Covid-19 pandemic by many forms; closely coordinated with sectors, mass organizations and employers to take care for workers by forms in line with regulations on Covid-19 prevention, especially before, during and after the Tet (Lunar New Year) festival 2021.

With the province’s support solutions, enterprises in province-based Ips have still made efforts in maintaining stability in production-business, ensuring sustainable development.
