On the afternoon of October 1, Mai Hung Dung, Member of Provincial Party Standing Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, chaired an online conference with European Chamber of Commerce in Vietnam (EURO CHAM) to solve difficulties of businesses, discuss plans to restore production in the near future.

Speaking at the conference, Dung presented the difficulties and challenges of Vietnam in general and the southern provinces in particular during the fourth Covid-19 wave that has been seriously affecting the socio-economic development, people's life as well as production activities of enterprises in the area. Therefore, provincial leaders wanted to listen to suggestions and opinions of businesses to jointly remove difficulties and obstacles, step by step reopen production and business activities while ensuring disease safety.
The business community also presented difficulties as implementing the "three-on-the-spot" production plan, the circulation between localities was still difficult in the current situation; desired to have more open guidance as implementing the "three-green" model with active support from all government levels to resume production in the new situation; speed up the 2nd dose vaccination for workers so that production could be resumed soon; provide information on the disease as quickly as possible, with a way to thoroughly handle the disease at enterprises; strengthen the application of digital technology to connect and remove problems of administrative procedures, creating favorable conditions for businesses in the coming time.
Concluding the meeting, Mai Hung Dung noted the difficulties and problems of businesses; and pledged that Binh Duong authorities are making every effort to soon bring production activities to a new normal state. However, now that the disease is under control, the risk of an outbreak is still high. The province thus is resuming production step by step while ensuring safety, firmly protecting the province's anti-pandemic results as well as protecting production of enterprises. Binh Duong has been bringing healthcare closer to the people and workers to promptly respond to the Covid-19 outbreak. The province facilitate the movement of workers to factories and firms on the principle of maintaining safety. In the shortest time, the province will continue to give injections to workers in industrial parks and factories according to the number of vaccines allocated by the government. Binh Duong is also coordinating with other provinces and cities in the region to agree on a transportation plan for workers and will soon come up with a specific plan. The business community needs to have a plan for production recovery so that administrative agencies could check and assess the safety, gradually reopen production in the new situation.
