The Vietnam Oil and Gas Group (PetroVietnam) just plans to launch its operation in 2010 with the operation of highlighted projects of Gazpromviet and Junin 2 in Venezuela, Nhenhexky oil mine in Russia and SK 305 bloc in Malaysia, Dung Quat oil refinery, Dung Quat Polypropylene Plant, Rong – Doi Moi mine, Nhon Trach 2 electricity plant and so on.

Besides, PetroVietnam will also kick off the construction of Oil and Gas University in Vinh Phuc province and complete the 2nd phase of clean energy project in Truong Sa Island.

In 2009, the Corp’s revenue reached VND265.02bil, accounting for 16% of the country’s GDP. It is estimated to reap a revenue of VND329tril in this year.
