On the afternoon of May 5, Nguyen Hoang Thao, Vice-Secretary of provincial Party Committee, Head of provincial Steering Working Group for the implementation of key traffic projects chaired a meeting on the situation of implementing projects, namely the BOT project upgrading and expanding National Highway 13; the Ho Chi Minh city - Thu Dau Mot - Chon Thanh expressway project; the project to create landscape, prevent traffic jams on the My Phuoc - Tan Van expressway, DT746, DT747b, DT743 streets. The event was attended by Nguyen Van Danh, Vice- Chairman of provincial People's Committee, Deputy Head of the Steering Working Group.

At the meeting, representative of Becamex IDC proposed to deploy a number of intersection overpasses soon, including an overpass at the intersection of My Phuoc - Tan Van expressway- DT741 street; an overpass at the intersection of  My Phuoc - Tan Van - Pham Ngoc Thach streets; an overpass at the intersection of My Phuoc - Tan Van expressway- main street 1; An Phu 6 intersection overpass; Song Than overpass intersection.

Speaking at the meeting, Mr.Thao asked to mobilize the entire political system and people to implement the projects; establish a legal department with the function and task of gathering all legal documents related to the projects, conclusions at all meetings related to the projects so far. In addition, it is necessary for the province to have a plan and process for the implementation of each project; capital and site compensation should be deliberated…

He also asked for members of the Steering Working Group, localities and relevant units to closely coordinate in the implementation of the projects. Regarding the proposal of early deploying some intersection overpasses, the province noted and will further consider this issue.
