To bring Vietnamese goods for workers, it requires not only State management agencies but also enterprises, consumers to work together to support Vietnamese enterprises, prevent counterfeiting, products of unknown origin, of poor quality products, and infringement of intellectual property, which are happening in many segments of the market.

Consumers shop for goods at a Vietnamese goods fair in North Tan Uyen district.
To build a consumption habit
Provincial Labor Confederation, grassroots trade unions, industry and trade authority, districts, towns and cities in the province pay attention to bringing Vietnamese goods for workers. In particular, in recent years, many retailers have collaborated with grassroots trade unions to increase distribution of Vietnamese goods through programs and activities organized for workers. Workers are pleased as taking part in useful activities and buying goods at reasonable prices. Moreover, at present, workers in industrial zones also have a more positive attitude towards Vietnamese products. Many workers have changed their consuming habits, favoring Vietnamese goods for their family.
Tran Trung Tuyen, worker of GreenVina Company (Binh Hoa ward, Thuan An City), said: "Recently, my family have participated in many Vietnamese goods promotion activities held by the company, as well as departments at affordable prices. We were informed about Vietnamese goods, gradually used products having clear origin, and believe that Vietnamese people should use Vietnamese goods".
Recently, Provincial Textile Trade Union has held an event in combination with selling products to serve workers. At this event, Textile Trade Union opened eight booths of Vietnamese goods, mainly household goods. Nguyen Thi Thom, who works at VSIP, said: "I was so pleased to learn about and bought many useful Vietnamese goods for my family at this program. The goods have clear origin and are suitable to workers' pocket".
At a Vietnamese goods market held recently in An Tay commune (Ben Cat town), awareness of workers in this area was heightened, and have a supportive attitude towards Vietnamese goods. Nguyen Thi Bich Kieu, An Thuan hamlet, An Tay commune said: "Vietnamese goods' market-days at industrial parks are necessary in order for workers to buy good-quality Vietnamese products. Departments and industries need to cooperate with enterprises, manufacturers to provide more new products, offer discount promotions on diverse products so that workers have more opportunities to choose and support Vietnamese goods".
To enhance promotion and introduction
With the goal to gradually strengthen trust and form a habit of prioritizing using Vietnamese goods in the community, increasing the competitiveness of Vietnamese goods, especially those of Binh Duong enterprises, the authorities promulgated policies and programs to support business investment in production development, branding, and promoting products. Nguyen Thi Be, Vice Chairwoman of Provincial Textile Trade Union, said: "In order to raise consumption awareness of Vietnamese goods for workers, Provincial Textile Trade Union has carried out introduction and promotion for Vietnamese products. Every year, we have programs to introduce and bring Vietnamese goods for workers to encourage the use of domestic products"
According to Phan Thi Khanh Duyen, Deputy Director of Center for Investment Promotion and Industrial Development under provincial Department of Industry and Trade, the center implemented trade promotion programs to support enterprises in machinery equipment to produce good-quality goods, to carry Vietnamese goods to rural areas and industrial clusters. These activities have popularized products and services of enterprises for many consumers in the province, gradually enhance prestige, customer loyalty to goods manufactured in Vietnam.
Enterprises, especially new ones, are also actively making promotional efforts to increase consumers' perception of new products. Viland Investment Construction - Manufacture Joint Stock Company (Phu My ward, Thu Dau Mot City) has launched a new clean coffee brand for more than a year, but quickly proved its high quality and reputation among customers. Luu Van Hai, Director of the company, said: “To heighten the competitiveness of our products, we implement the goal of changing customers' perceptions, creating value for organic coffee products without mixing any flavoring or chemicals. Besides, we also actively market through many channels, participate in trade fairs, shipments to rural areas, industrial clusters to introduce products”.
Bringing Vietnamese goods to workers through market days, shipments to rural areas will also make Vietnamese enterprises understand consumer needs and potential of the domestic market. Since then, they would boldly invest in production lines, improve production capacity to create products and services with high quality, variety, competitive prices, step by step meeting consumer demand.
