Over 95% of local co-operatives go into good operation

The provincial Co-operatives Alliance said that despite the global economic crisis, more than 95% of local co-operatives last year went into good operation and reached a growth rate of 17.5%. As of the end of this year, the entire province had 88 co-operatives with over 40,000 members and nearly VND118bil of chartered capital and VND976bil of operational capital.

Besides, the province had over 2,800 cooperative teams with 47,215 members. The alliance also set out orientations for 2010 with the concrete targets of reaching a 10% increase of cooperatives teams per year with the total members of 55,000, a 12% rise of new co-operatives with 42,500 members…
