Progress of 2021 economic census to be ensured

Early May 25, Nguyen Thanh Truc, Vice- Chairman of provincial People's Committee, Head of provincial Steering Committee for the Economic Census 2021 chaired a meeting with members of the Steering Committee to implement some key tasks in the coming time.

According to a report by provincial Statistics Office and  Department of Home Affairs, this census has been thoughtfully and synchronously implemented by the province, ensuring its progress and requirements. Steering committees at all levels have been established with 1,148 members, including 39 members at provincial level. The process of reviewing and updating the list of units under the census set out by the General Statistics Office has met requirements in terms of quantity, operational status, industries...

Regarding the situation of collecting information production and business establishments of the business sector, up to now, 18,227 out of 27,929 enterprises have declared and been confirmed for completion or 65.3% of total. Among them, more than 11,500 enterprises were verified for completion by census takers or 41.3% of total. For administrative, non-business, and association establishments, according to the plan on information collection from March 1 to May 30, 2021, so far, there have been 850 declared units, or 100% of total. For individual production and business establishments, religious and belief establishments, the province is currently setting up their background list that will be completed ahead of June 15, 2021. In the coming time, provincial Steering Committee of the Economic Census 2021 will promote propaganda, supervision and inspection over the process of the implementing of the census at all levels, in order to ensure the quality of the census...

Speaking at the meeting, Mr. Truc asked the Census Steering Committees at all levels to urge localities to ensure the progress, purpose and effectiveness of the census.
