The economic and industrial development is one of reasons causing influences on the quality of environment, so economic development together with environmental protection (EP) are a target for local authority. Publicizing information on environmental situation at industrial workshops through announcing list of units completing or incompleting EP regulations is one of supportive tools to honor and encourage businesses for good implementation of EP. On the contrary, those who incompleting EP regulations will be controlled condemned.

Building the Binh Duong province green list 2010 is based on results of scientific research of ‘building green list for some local industrial workshops’. The project of green list 2010 will focus on perfecting and legalizing criteria to classify businesses.

The criteria are based on businesses’ obeyment on EP regulations, waste treatment, and application on environmental improvement measures. Colors of yellow, green, blue, brown and so on will symbolize levels of completion or incompletion of businesses’ EP regulation implementation. A list of the classification will be composed into a green list 2010 that will be publicized.      

Possibly speaking, along with issuing lists of workshops causing environmental pollution, building of a green list is one of measures to strengthen businesses’ role and responsibility for EP.
