Province’s economic picture in Q1 2010 gets brighter

Particularly, the province’s industrial production value reached VND21trillion, up 20.8% compared to the corresponding period of last year. Retail sales and services revenue was VND 9.224trillion, up 39% against the same period last year. Export turnover earned US$1.604bln, up 20.9% compared to the same period last year. So far, the whole province has had 565 businesses with export activities. Their key export markets are the US (23.7%), EU (14.5%), Japan (12.9%), Taiwan (12.3%), South Korea (6.2%)…

 

Provincial leaders always pay attention to the projects that have great investment capital and clean technologies.

 

Also during the time, the province absorbed 21 new FDI projects capitalized at US$157mln and 32 extra-ones with US$156mln, bringing the total number of FDI ones flowing into the province to 1,922 valued at US$13bln. Additional VND1.829bln in domestic investment capital also flowed into the province. Thus, the whole province has so far lured 9,012 domestic businesses with a total registered capital of VND60.723bln.

 

For all-round development, provincial People’s Committee has asked for sectors and localities to well realize the Government’s Resolution No.3, including fully making the planning system in the province; taking measures to recover and raise the quality of the growth; well realizing  socio-cultural development targets; strength environmental protection; improving the effectiveness of State administration; working harder on administrative reform; ensuring social order and safety…

 

According to provincial chairman Nguyen Hoang Son, there are still lots of risks negatively affecting the local socio-economic development. He therefore has required sectors and localities to mobilize all forces to outline and take more effective measures to promote the local socio-economic development in the remaining months of the year…
