As of May 2017, Binh Duong absorbed nearly US$1.5billion in FDI capital or 106.5% of the yearly plan.

The province has so far ranked second nationwide in FDI attraction after HCM city with more than 2,890 FDI businesses totaling US$27.1billion.

According to Tran Thanh Liem, Chairman of provincial People’s Committee, Binh Duong will further focus on FDI attraction in the period of 2016-2020 in order to create a breakthrough in industrial, service and hi-tech agricultural development, contributing to increasing the local State budget revenue and making the shift of the local economic structure as oriented.
