Province’s trade surplus reaches nearly US$449mln in first four months

Provincial export turnover in the first four months of the year reached US$2,153.8mln, a year-on-year increase of 18.3%. Of the total figure, domestic businesses achieved US$470.3mln, up 1.2% while FDI ones gained US$1,683.5mln, up 24.1%. Key export products gained a high growth, including fisheries up 41%, processed food up 18.9%, footwear up 15.2%, apparel and textile up 65.5%...

Also during the time, the province’s import value was US$1,705mln, up 24% compared to the corresponding period of last year. There were imported products with high growth, comprising of fertilizer up 105.3%, animal feeds and their processing materials up 57.1%, paint products and their production materials up 101.5%...

With the above results, the province reached a four-month trade surplus of US$448.8mln, helping it become one of the country’s localities with the highest trade surplus value.
