On the afternoon of March 9, Nguyen Hoang Thao, Vice-Secretary of provincial Party Committee, Chairman of provincial People's Committee attended an online seminar discussing the friendly cooperation between Binh Duong province and Yamaguchi province in Japan. At the bridge points on the Japanese side, there was Muraoka Tsugumasa, Governor of Yamaguchi province.

Speaking at the seminar, Mr. Thao said that since the establishment of friendly cooperation in 2014, the two provinces have actively implemented exchange activities, strengthened friendly relations, expanded economic cooperation, promoted trade and investment in the fields of education - training, culture ... In parallel with promoting socio-economic development, Binh Duong has also actively boosted bilateral and multilateral cooperation in many fields with the Japanese province.

So far, Binh Duong has established bilateral cooperation relationships with 10 foreign provinces and cities and is now an official member, reliable partner of 4 multilateral international cooperation organizations, namely the World Technopolis Association (WTA), the World Smart Community Forum (ICF), the Asian Economic Cooperation Forum (Horasis) and the World Trade Center Association (WTCA).

“We hope that Binh Duong province will continue receiving active cooperation from the government of Yamaguchi province. Binh Duong wants to further strengthen deep cooperation with Yamaguchi in the fields of science-technology, education- health, sports…, contributing to the socio-economic development of the two localities in 2021 and the following years,” Mr.Thao  emphasized.
