Members of provincial Association of Machinery and Electric Enterprises (HAMEE) have got many orders about electric generators from Cambodia.

It is known that Cambodia now faces the shortage of industrial and household electric generators, due to power cut unceasingly occurring during the dry season. This is a chance for members of the association to boost their export for this kind of product.

Representative of Sang Ban Mai Joint Stock Company in Ben Cat town said that since early this year, the company has exported 9 industrial electric generators with 1,000 kVA capacity into Cambodia and now has 10 such orders till the end of 2019. In 2018, the company’s export value for this kind of product to Cambodia was around US$400,000 and the figure is likely to reach US$2million this year.
