Provincial industrial parks adapt safely, assist business recovery and development

From the beginning of 2022, in addition to the Covid-19 prevention and control, businesses, investors in industrial parks of the province have actively mobilized resources, accelerated production and business, contributing to sustaining the economic growth momentum of the province.

To develop production

At Vietnam - Singapore Industrial Parks 1 and 2, right after the Lunar New Year holiday, about 98% of businesses resumed their operations, with 95% of workers returned to work. Enterprises are trying to boost production to regain growth momentum right from the beginning of the year. In order to proactively prevent diseases for workers, enterprises in the industrial parks have implemented many measures, developed response plans when F0 appears, prevent the disease from spreading.

Kim Heun Tae, CEO of NTI Vina Company, VSIP 2, said that to continue overcoming difficulties caused by the Covid-19, facing the scarcity of imported raw materials for production, the company actively search and expand the market of raw materials to maintain production activities, promptly respond to signed orders of domestic and foreign partners, at the same time searching and expanding more markets. “Despite being affected by the Covid-19, the company maintains the number of employees with strict disease prevention control measures. Right from first months of the new year, the whole company is accelerating the progress, using new trade methods and finding more export orders," said Kim Heun Tae.

In 2021, despite facing many difficulties, production and business activities of enterprises in industrial zones are maintained and achieved good results. The production business targets in 2021 of enterprises in industrial zones increased compared to the same period in 2020. In which, domestic investment capital attraction reached VND 3,104 billion, exceeding 121.76% target; foreign investment capital attraction reached 1.7 billion USD, reaching 141.65% target; investment capital disbursed of enterprises reached 2 billion USD, reaching 148.55% target…

Bui Minh Tri, Head of Management Board of provincial industrial zones, said that although the Covid-19 situation is complicated, currently, businesses in provincial industrial zones are operating stably. With effective solutions to assist businesses, companies in all industrial zones of the province still maintain the regular pace of production and business, create added values for products, and contribute to economic growth of the province. Following the direction of provincial leadership, in addition to solutions to support businesses, industrial zones in the province are preparing good conditions in terms of land, infrastructure, and human resources to welcome new investment capital flows.

Adapt to grow

Up to now, the Covid-19 in the province has been basically under control, along with many efforts of the Government and the province, businesses are step by step recovering production and business activities. Many businesses and investors put their faith in the development of Binh Duong province in the coming time.

According to a survey by the Provincial Statistics Office, 88.62% of businesses assessed that the production and business situation of the first quarter 2022 was stable and better than that of the fourth quarter 2021. In which, 50.9% of enterprises assessed that the trend would be better; 37.72% of enterprises thought that business and production situation was stable.

Scott Ellyson, CEO and co-founder of East West Manufacturing, VSIP 2, said that in the coming time the company would continue to expand two factories in Binh Duong. The company appreciates the provincial government and Management Board of provincial industrial zones who have always accompanied businesses during the past time.

Bui Minh Tri, Head of the Provincial Industrial Park Management Board, said that the Management Board is still striving to implement economic growth targets and objectives in 2022. Currently, the Management Board is focusing on implementing "safe adaptation", determined to realize "dual goal", striving to maintain production and business activities and goods circulation. With many active support solutions of the province, along with the determination to overcome difficulties, companies in industrial zones are trying to maintain stable production and business, ensuring sustainable and long-term development.
