The Vietnam Oil and Gas Group (PVN), said the group reached VND205,000bil in the first four months of 2011, equaling 41% of its year plan, a 49% increase from the same period of 2010. Of this, the group reached US$3.7bil in oil turnover and paid VND50.500bil to the State budget, a 34.9% rise from 2010.
Besides, the group sold 4.83mil tons of crude oil, 1.66mil tons of which offered for Dung Quat Oil Refinery. The group also offered 4.97bil kWh of electricity to the national grid, a 16.5% increase from the same period of 2010.
The group has run Nhon Trach 2 electricity plant’s turbines No.1 and 2, adding over 413mil kWh of electricity in the first 4 months of 2011. The group earmarked over VND77bil for social welfare, equaling 13% of its whole year plan.
