SCORE program effectively implemented in Binh Duong

On the afternoon of November 28, a high-ranking delegation from Switzerlandm, led by Boris Zurcher, the Swiss State Secretary, Head of Labour Directorate under the Swiss Federal Department of Economic Affairs, Education and Research paid a working visit to Tien Hung Co.Ltd. in Thuan An town to assess the effectiveness of the Sustaining Competitive and Responsible Enterprises (SCORE) program under the International Labor Organization (ILO).

In Vietnam, the SCORE program is co-implemented by the ILO and the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry’s HCM City branch under the support of the State Secretariat for Economic Affairs (SECO). More than 170 enterprises representating more than 60,000 laborers were supported to improve their productivity and working conditions.

At the working session, Mr.Boris Zurcher said that the program aims to bring benefits to both laborers and enterprises. He also expressed his impression at the effectiveness of the program at Tien Hung Company.

Raymund Rurrer, Ambassador and Director of the Economic Development and Cooperation Program under the Swiss Federal Department of Economic Affairs said that he felt very satisfied as Binh Duong Furniture Association has replicated the SCORE model. It is hoped that this will be a motivation for enterprises to boost their participation in the global supply chain.
