Stabilized cashew price calms farmers

Cashew was collected at about VND 15,000-16,000 per kg which is higher than last year. Farmers are cheered up by higher benefits of the crops not affected much by frost and rains.

 

By the end of 2009, areas of cashew in the province were reduced to 5,891 hectares or 11.3% lower than 2008 because farmers change their long-term ‘crop’ to rubber trees.
