According to Ministry of Industry and Trade, in the coming time, a delegation of Ministry of Transport and Ministry of Industry and Trade will have a visit to check shipping prices of 12 foreign shipping lines operating in Vietnam. The purpose of this inspection is to comply with law provisions on freight rates, non-tariff surcharges, and issues related to container shipping by sea.

This inspection is to check the situation, then find out solutions, together with shipping lines, to increase the amount of empty containers brought to Vietnam. At the same time, to rationalize revenues that are currently increased unreasonably reported by import-export enterprises.
