On July 13, Nguyen Van Loi, member of Party Central Committee, Secretary of Binh Duong Provincial Party Committee; Nguyen Hoang Thao, Deputy Secretary of Provincial Party Committee had a meeting with Provincial People's Committee, investors of industrial parks to ascertain the situation of businesses in industrial zones.

Highest effort

Bui Minh Tri, Head of Management Board of provincial industrial parks, said that although the production and business activities have been affected by the pandemic, enterprises in industrial zones has been maintained stably and developed over the first 6 months of this year, epidemic prevention control work was prioritized.

According to Management Board of Provincial Industrial Parks, from May 27th 2021, there have been 43 enterprises in 25/27 industrial parks (except Tan Binh and Bau Bang expanded industrial parks) that experienced the Covid-19 with 369 F0 cases, 4,403 traced F1 cases, and 9,116 F2 cases. After being guided, there are 1,877 out of 2,045 companies that had made self-assessment of infection risk, committed to compliance with anti-epidemic regulations, accounting for 91% of active enterprises. Namely, 1,366 enterprises self-assessed as little infection risk (73%); 433 enterprises as low-infection risk (23%); 71 enterprises as average infection risk (31 - 50%); 3 enterprises as high infection risk  (51 - 80%); 4 enterprises as very high infection risk (80 - 100%). Enterprises established 5,013 Covid safety groups, 1,362 enterprises registered the ability to self-guarantee production in disease conditions. In order to ensure safe production, 46 companies sent written requests to encourage workers stay at factories for working, total registering workforce of nearly 10,000 people. The Management Board is coordinating with Department of Health to specify necessary conditions for businesses to implement.

Speaking at the meeting, Nguyen Hoang Thao, Deputy Secretary of Provincial Party Committee, urged businesses to join hands with the local government, maintain the fighting spirit against the pandemic, and continue to develop production. All for the "dual goal" of the Government, for the development of enterprises and Binh Duong province, to maintain the "industrial" brand name and the position of Binh Duong in the Southern Key Economic Zone.

Enterprises are fortresses, workers are soldiers

Representatives of businesses said they are ready to support the local disease prevention control. Pham Ngoc Thuan, General Director of Becamex IDC, said that Becamex IDC has supported the province's anti-epidemic work. Up to now, Becamex IDC has supported VND 185 billion for the disease prevention control work. Currently, Becamex IDC is building two temporary hospitals for Covid-19 treatment with 3,000 beds in the World Trade Center Binh Duong New City area and Eastern International University area. Becamex IDC wishes that investors, Management Board of provincial industrial parks would continue to contribute material and human resources to the disease prevention control work in the province. Becamex IDC also hopes that the government creates more favorable conditions and support Covid-19 vaccination for high-risk workers, and to facilitate production and export.

Showing the determination of the government in the disease prevention control, Nguyen Van Loi asked functional agencies to actively take part in and take advantage of the "golden time" within about 15 days to stamp out the Covid-19 resurgence. In particular, Management Board of provincial industrial parks need to complete the anti-epidemic plan, promote the role of Covid-19 teams in a substantive and effective manner on the basis of the collaboration among departments, branches, localities and businesses. The health authority continues to perform well the prevention, control and treatment of Covid-19 patients, elevate the test progress and capacity to 150,000-200,000 samples/day, and take advantage of support resources of the Ministry of Health to ensure disease prevention control work, handle F0 cases quickly and effectively in the shortest time to create favorable conditions for enterprises to soon stabilize production and business.

Mr. Nguyen requested that branches and localities guarantee the supply chain of essential goods and food for the anti-epidemic work, and promptly have good regimes to support workers. Labor unions and associations need to immediately deploy charity kitchens and free supermarkets to serve disadvantaged workers. “With the motto of considering the difficulties of enterprises as their own, the provincial leaders make efforts to support enterprises in anti-epidemic work, maintaining production, opening exports, and stabilizing worker's lives. Each enterprise is a fortress, workers are soldiers, join hands with the government for the Covid-19 prevention and control, taking care of workers' lives, and maintaining production. All together protect the economy, prepare for the post-Covid-19 opportunities, for a developing Binh Duon", emphasized Mr. Nguyen.

Nguyen Phu Thinh, General Director of Vietnam - Singapore Industrial Park Company (VSIP): VSIP currently has 800 businesses wit 100,000 employees, businesses have high awareness of isolating infected cases, implementation of three things on the spot. VSIP wishes that the isolation work would be coordinated quickly, creating favorable conditions for businesses to accelerate production and prevent the spread of the disease. Investors also expect an adequate Covid-19 vaccine source and are willing to contribute money to vaccination fund. VSIP is also ready to utilize our functional areas to help local disease prevention control work.

Bui Manh Lan, General Director of Dong An Industrial Park: In the coming time, the anti-epidemic of the authorities should be coordinated with Management Board of industrial parks and business owners. Management Board of Dong An 1 and Dong An 2 Industrial Parks, companies in the industrial zones are willing to contribute financial, material and human resources to the work of Covid-19 prevention and control. Meanwhile, the government need to create favorable conditions for manufacture and business after isolating F0, F1, F2 cases; and implement three things on-the-spot "production on the spot, eating on the spot, resting on the spot". All to ensure the goal of ensuring safe production in the epidemic conditions.
