Yamamoto Kazuhito, Director of Taisei Bijutsu Printing (Vietnam) Co., Ltd., said that after 15 years of investing in Binh Duong, he realized that the province has made a significant transformation. Previously, he still had to go back and forth daily between Binh Duong and Ho Chi Minh city, now he is staying in Binh Duong. “Currently, Binh Duong has all the convenient services at the requirements of production, business as well as daily life. The housing areas for experts are well invested and built. And many international schools and hospitals have also been established. Currently, Japanese people live in apartments like Sora Gardens, or those built by Becamex Tokyu Company in Binh Duong new city, which completely reach standards. Around the new city area, there are also Japanese eateries and restaurants, making the local living environment get very good and convenient", he affirmed.

As an expert in association with many development stages of Binh Duong, Assoc. Prof., Dr. Tran Dinh Thien said that Binh Duong really emerged as a bright spot in terms of selecting the preeminent model to promote socio-economic development right in its early stage of development while other localities were still confused in orientation. “The first right is the Industrial - Service - Urban Complex (briefly called the complex), the highlight creating a breakthrough in urban development and social stability. After that, model urban, commercial, service and industrial parks were born and replicated in many provinces and cities. Next is the Smart City model, which develops into Binh Duong Innovation Zone. All have brought Binh Duong to a high-value-added economy, in which innovation is the foundation and driving force for development, making the province get a worth-living place," said Assoc. Prof., Dr. Tran Dinh Thien.

Notably, the development of trade and services in localities in the province is homogeneous and connected. Three cities under the province, Thu Dau Mot, Di An and Thuan An, have a lot of potential for development and are continuing making efforts to have a new breakthrough in trade and services. Tan Uyen and Ben Cat towns have continued developing infrastructure, creating breakthroughs in attracting services in association with industrial and urban development. The new city will continue playing the core role connecting localities with iconic towers while hospitals, universities, high-class residential areas, offices, and 5-star hotels are also arranged along the two sides of the central route. In particular, the World Trade Center Binh Duong New City (WTC BD) is expected to become a global trade- service center, attracting partners, investors, human resources, intellectuals, creating favorable conditions for the formation of an international trade ecosystem, connecting trade activities across the region... The WTC BD is expected to be an important driving force to create the momentum for Binh Duong to develop e-commerce, an increasingly explosive trend in the 4th industrial revolution.

Breakthrough with technology

In the period of 2021-2025, along with the roadmap to relocate the brand in the international arena, Binh Duong has synchronously conducted high-quality commercial and service development solutions. That can be considered as a new driving force, strongly attracting resources to contribute to the local socio-economic development based on modern technology.

Vo Van Minh, Vice-Secretary of provincial Party Committee, Chairman of provincial People's Committee affirmed that in the local development plan, Binh Duong has aimed at creating new added values, focusing on training to improve the quality of human resources, supplementing high-class service programs, promoting supply chains, logistics, infrastructure facilities, diversified traffic development. Binh Duong has continued making a breakthrough in infrastructure development investment, deploying important projects related to traffic infrastructure, especially regional connection projects, creating the rebound for trade and high-quality service.

Nguyen Thanh Toan, Director of provincial Department of Industry and Trade affirmed that Binh Duong has become a convergence of many leading businesses and retail groups in the world. Along with the policy of promoting investment attraction in the field of trade and high-quality services, strengthening cooperation in the development of trade channels for goods, in order to raise the level of goods in the new period, Binh Duong has focused on developing logistics services. The province has also bent on developing waterway traffic and coordinated with Ho Chi Minh city to upgrade Binh Loi bridge, build new An Tay port, Ben Suc port, Thanh An port, An Son port, Thai port. Hoa…, creating a way out for the local goods in the new period.

In the 4^th industrial revolution,  Binh Duong has promoted digital transformation in all fields, taking people and enterprises as the center to serve. Sectors and localities in the province have made efforts to develop data systems and interactive softwares in the digital environment to promote, lead people and  enterprises to participate in the local digital transformation process, creating a global spread, reducing social costs, creating publicity and transparency in State management and provision of public services; encouraged and supported small and medium-sized enterprises to carry out digital transformation. Currently, the province’s high-quality services on finance, banking, insurance, commerce, information and communication, warehouses and specialized transport... are undergoing digital transformation strongly.
