Rubber latex for export being processed at Dau Tieng Rubber One-Member Co.Ltd.

On May 21, 1981, Dau Tieng Rubber Plantation was upgraded into Dau Tieng Rubber Corporation based on the friendly and cooperative ties between Vietnam and Russia. Accordingly, the goal of the two sides was to develop 20,000 hectares of rubber trees on Dau Tieng heroic land. This was actually a difficult task at that time. But, thanks to Russia’s great assistance, the corporation overcome difficulties and took fruits in production and business.

In the 1981-1985 period, the cooperative work between Vietnam and Russia brought considerable results with more than 20,000 hectares of land reclaimed for rubber cultivation or 110% of the projection. On average, the corporation grew more than 4,000 hectares of rubber a year, 25 higher times than that of the 1976-1980 period.

Thirty four years later, thousands of staff of Dau Tieng Rubber One-Member Co.Ltd. have still remembered the great sentimental attachment of Russian friends forever. Also upon the successful cooperation, Dau Tieng Rubber One-Member Co.Ltd. in particular and Vietnam Rubber Group in general have obtained a robust growth today.

“White gold” flying further

Dau Tieng Rubber One-Member Corporation has become one of Vietnam Rubber Group’s “eldest brothers” with nearly 30,000 hectares of rubber, generating jobs for more than 10,000 laborers and greatly contributing to Binh Duong’s socio-economic development during the renewal period.

Looking back the development history of Dau Tieng Rubber One-Member Company, the company’s leaders and staff over periods have always refered to the cooperative program between Vietnam and Russia with unforgettable memories. Under the cooperative program, Russia helped the company develop nearly 70% of its rubber trees growing area at present.

The company has also got involved in wood development projects; built up a methodical waste water treatment system; invested in residential infrastructure …with a total value of more than VND600bln. In addition, the company has made financial contributions to great projects under Vietnam Rubber Group and taken part in growing thousands of hectares of rubber in Laos and Cambodia.

Along with closely-controlled quality, Dau Tieng Rubber One-Member Co.Ltd.’s products have been diversified with 14 varieties reaching high quality. They are only not consumed by domestic market, but also exported into 40 countries and territories in the world, including Singapore, China, Malaysia, Taiwan, Japan…Despite difficulties in 2014, the company has still obtained its rubber latex output as planned and well ensured the lives of its staff.

Possibly speaking, the current success of Dau Tieng Rubber One-Member Co.Ltd. is the brilliant landmark of the friendship between Vietnam and Russia in Binh Duong in particular and in Vietnam in general. Although experiencing a lot of historical events, this friendship remains stable.
