According to Binh Duong provincial Department of Construction, in the first quarter of 2021, the unit continued to coordinate with relevant departments, sectors and units to speed up the implementation of key public investment projects under the direction of Binh Duong provincial People's Committee. During the quarter, the Department issued practice certificates and construction capacity certificates to 40 qualified individuals and 71 organizations including the appraisal of 35 records; examination and acceptance of 22 projects; the handling of 26 construction permit dossiers; and licenses to 4 foreign contractors.

In addition, Binh Duong provincial Department of Construction has reported to Binh Duong provincial People's Committee and the Ministry of Construction on the urban development situation in 2020; report on additional contents of the proposed roadmap of the province's urban classification in 2021-2025 and 2026-2030. The Department also preliminarily reviewed the implementation of the Binh Duong Smart City Project for 2016-2020 as an implementation plan in 2021 is built. In addition, the Department of Construction has instructed People's Committee of Di An City on the urban upgrading process under grade II urban standard; to guide People's Committees of districts, towns and cities to develop plans of implementing the contents of urban development in Binh Duong in the national urban classification plan for 2021-2030.
