In the morning of July 10th, at guest house in Binh Duong new city center Becamex Industry Development Corporation (Becamex IDC) held a seminar on “applying bubbledeck and top-base foundation technology”, attracting participation of representatives from Construction Ministry, State’s Inspection of constructions, Construction Department, consulting and constructing companies.

Representatives highly appreciate bubbledeck and top-base technologies.

Introducing the technologies was M.A. Do Duc Thang – Chairman of TADITS Space Structure Joint Stock Company that cooperates to develop the engineering technologies in Vietnam. Bubbledeck involves ‘hollow’ plastic balls with upper and lower layers of wielded reinforcing steel, forming semi-assembly with capacity for fast construction without timbering.

Bubbledeck is outstanding for its biaxial load bearing and reduction of height, weight, steel and concrete so that time and cost are reduced.

Meanwhile, top-base foundation (or funnel foundation) could resolve problems of weak earth foundation by increasing its loading capacity, reducing contraction and consolidation time. Top-base foundation is applied in Japan and South Korea in thousands of constructions including 30-foor building without using piles. Top-base foundation has been successfully applied in Vietnam since 2008 and has helped to reduce construction time by 30% and costs by 50% in comparison with pile driving that may affect neighboring constructions.

Dr. Nguyen Trung Hoa – Head of Science, Technology and Environment Division of Construction Ministry, highly appreciated bubbledeck and top-base technologies. In his opinion, advanced technology is necessary for constructions. However, he noticed of synchronization for surveys, designs, construction and inspection.

Mr. Bui Van Duc, Deputy Chairman of Board of Management, Deputy General Manager of Becamex IDC said that advanced technology is beneficiary for the company which is always ready to cooperate with TADITS to bring new construction technology to Binh Duong new city where new constructions are awaiting.
