Becamex IDC social housing project contributes to excel goals of sustainable industrial development

Implementing PM’s Decision 2127/QD-TTg dated Nov. 30, 2011 on ratifying strategy on national housing development till 2020 and vision 2030 and the provincial People’s Committee’s instruction on building houses to meet laborers’ demand for the 2011-2015 period, Becamex IDC was assigned to set up a project of social housing with feasible conditions. On Sept. 6, 2011, the provincial People’s Committee issued Decision 2541/QD-UBND on approving social housing project for the 2011-2015 period and assigned Becamex IDC to hold position as the project investor.

On Feb 24, project of social housing invested by Becamex IDC was launched to solve accommodation for local residents and create impetus on economic development and foundation for local urbanization process. This is a joyful signal for local poor people.

According to the project, from now till 2015, Becamex IDC will build 37 social housing areas across Thu Dau Mot, Thuan An, Di An towns, Ben Cat and Tan Uyen districts with the total capital of nearly VND11tril and area of 220ha, offering accommodation for about 125,000 residents.

The significant program will help laborers attach to the province and businesses enjoy a stable manpower and local authorities obtain advantages of population management.

Each social housing area will include many blocks equipped with conveniences adequately. And, each apartment can contain 2-4 people with the average price of VND90mil per apartment (excluding VAT).

Opportunity of enjoying a peaceful life for laborers

According to Becamex IDC, the project’s beneficiaries include cadres, public servants, soldiers, workers, students, low incomers and people with stable jobs in Binh Duong.

Conditions for house buyers include as follows:

House buyers have real demand on housing and stable jobs in Binh Duong and pledge not to re-sell to others within 5 years. House buyers’ rights and interests include certificates of housing and common land property right, usage of surrounding conveniences such schools, hospitals, culture and sport centers and park.

With flexible payment forms, house buyers can pay money depending on the project’s progress, or pay 30% in advance for investor. Many businesses wanting to stabilize manpower can buy the houses and re-allot for workers through form of docking their monthly salary.

Possibly speaking, Becamex IDC social housing area will bring great efficiency for society and lure high quality manpower as well as spur businesses’ production stability.
