Ben Cat district has over time reaped lots of successes in socio-economic aspects. The biggest success of the district is that industrial manufacture has continued to gain stable growth and investment attraction has also continued to get high effectiveness. With the success plus consensus between the local Party and people, Ben Cat district’s economy in 2010 will early fulfill its set targets.

Industrial products in Ben Cat district see growth of high-tech and competitiveness

Ben Cat district is now home to 11 industrial parks (IPs) with 5,118.6 ha for industrial development, many of them have operated effectively. Particularly, My Phuoc IPs has so far absorbed over 390 FDI projects from 24 countries and territories, including Taiwan, South Korea, Japan, Italy, US…with a total investment capital of nearly US$3bln. VSIP II has lured 121 investment projects capitalized over US$1bln while other hundreds of investment projects have poured into Viet Huong II IP…

Since 2006, Ben Cat district has drawn additional 702 domestic and FDI projects, bringing the total number of investment projects flowing into the district to 1,189 with VND4.310trillion and more than US$3bln. Its industrial production value in the past five years also reached VND86.822trillion, an annual growth of over 41% and beyond the set resolutions.

Despite difficulties, many investment projects herein have still been carried out on schedule. Since early this year, there have been factories inaugurated or started construction, including the animal feed factory of Emivest Feedmill Vietnam Co.Ltd., the chocopie cake-production line of Bibica Mien Dong Co., the paper factory of Kraft Vina Co.Ltd…This is the condition to believe that Ben Cat district will further reap greater successes in investment attraction this year.

The above impressive successes have been attributed by the consensus between the local Party and people in realizing the nation’s goal of a prosperous people, a powerful country, and a thriving society. For the district’s industrialization cause, citizens herein have made contributions to develop great IPs today as a driving force for the local industrial development.
