Truong Tri Dung, director of Binh Duong Electricity Company said that the company annually economizes over 1.4% of electricity output. In 2010, the company saved 76 million Kwh. In the first 8 months of this year, the company economized 46.350 million kWh.

According to Truong Tri Dung, with more than 270,000 clients and nearly 400,000 electricity using households, if saving electricity within one hour, Binh Duong will economize 20,000-27,000 kWh, equivalent to VND32mil per hour.

If each household implements electricity thrift, each family will save VND10,000-20,000 per day. In addition, with the total electricity output of about 5 billion kWh in the province in 2011, if saving 3% of electricity output, the entire province will save about VND180bil.

Binh Duong Electricity Company just held a signing ceremony on using electricity safely and effectively with local mass bodies including Labor Union, Veteran Society, Women Society, Farmer Society and provincial Youth Union.

Accordingly, cooperation between Binh Duong Electricity Company and mass bodies will focus on mobilizing people to use electricity safely and thriftily.
