As revenue reached more than VND 16,087 billion, an increase of 35.27% over the same period last year, as of October 15, Binh Duong Customs Department has completed 100.54% of the 2021 budget revenue estimate assigned by the provincial People's Committee of VND 16,000 billions dong. In 2021, Binh Duong Customs Department strives for total state budget revenue to be no lower than VND 16,000 billion. This is a high revenue target of Binh Duong Customs Department in the context of complicated and unpredictable developments of Covid-19 epidemic in the first months of the year. By the end of May 2021, in the face of the 4th epidemic outbreak of complicated developments, Binh Duong Customs Department quickly implemented measures to both prevent and control the epidemic and make efforts to ensure revenue, making important and active contribution into the socio-economic development of the province.
With many specific solutions, as of October 15, Binh Duong Customs Department has completed 100.54% of the 2021 budget revenue estimate assigned by the provincial People's Committee (VND 16,000 billion). In which, a number of affiliated units achieved high revenue and completed their goals early such as the Customs Branch of Song Than Industrial Park, the Customs Branch of Viet Huong Industrial Park among others.

According to Mr. Nguyen Phuoc Viet Dung, Director of Binh Duong Customs Department, in the face of complicated developments of the Covid-19 epidemic, Binh Duong Customs Department forecast the possibility of budget revenue from import and export activities would face many difficulties. Therefore, Binh Duong Customs Department directed units to proactively assess the impact of the epidemic on state budget revenue at their units; at the same time, firmly grasp the source of revenue, especially the import-export situation of enterprises operating in the area under their management. In parallel, the Department synchronously implemented the tasks and solutions on the management of budget revenue, striving to fulfill the targets assigned by the government and the provincial People's Council, closely monitoring the progress of budget collection, evaluating and analyzing in detail for each area, summarizing and reporting in time the results and forecasting monthly and quarterly revenue.
To keep on accompanying the enterprises
During the peak of the epidemic from July 15 to August 15, the number of customs declarations at the unit decreased significantly by 42% compared to the previous months, export turnover decreased by over 32%; more than 800 businesses operating regularly had to suspend operations. In the context of difficulties due to the impact of the epidemic and in order to achieve the target of budget revenue in 2021, Binh Duong Customs Department has actively implemented many solutions, ensuring absolute safety from the epidemic, creating favorable conditions for the development of the country with quick customs clearance. In particular, Binh Duong Customs Department actively applied information technology and modern customs management methods in handling administrative procedures, thus promoting maximum efficiency. Currently, all documents submitted by enterprises are processed through the VNACCS/VCIS automatic cargo clearance system - the online customs public service system.
In addition, Binh Duong Customs Department strengthens information capture and keeps in contact with enterprises temporarily suspending operations to remove difficulties and obstacles and promptly extends solutions to support and create favorable conditions for import-export enterprises’ customs management. Mr. Onuma Minonu, Team Leader of Japanese enterprises in Binh Duong, said that in the peak months of the epidemic, Binh Duong Customs quickly developed scenarios and plans to accompany and support businesses to overcome difficulties and create favorable conditions for production and business enterprises. It is the timely and regular attention and help of the Binh Duong Customs Department in particular and the provincial government in general that has helped businesses be secure in production and continue to invest in the area.
Currently, the Covid-19 epidemic has been controlled, the domestic economy and import-export business and goods production in Binh Duong are gradually recovering. Mr. Nguyen Phuoc Viet Dung said that to achieve the set goals, Binh Duong Customs Department would continue to implement synchronously and effectively solutions; to promote administrative reform, customs procedures towards electronic customs in line with international standards; to take businesses and people as the center to eliminate unofficial costs and organize the implementation of the highest level of online public service provision, creating all favorable conditions for businesses' operations in the area. Binh Duong Customs Department would continue to accompany and support enterprises to promptly handle difficulties and problems and quickly clear goods to help businesses feel secure in maintaining production, business, and import and export of goods.
