Building a new countryside needs to fully uphold community’s strength

Lives of people in rural region improved

 As of late 2010, rural laborers in the province accounted for 12% of total laborers. The average per capital income in the rural region was VND19mln a year. The province’s agricultural economic parts continued obtaining a stable growth and bravely applied new sci-tech advantages into production…

 The whole province now has 419 cooperative groups in agricultural production with 9,751 members; 1,773 farms with 16,960 ha in total with the number of frequent laborers reaching 9,154 and 13 agricultural cooperatives with 627 members.

 So far, the province’s socio-economic infrastructure in the rural region has been developed in a synchronous way. The material and spiritual lives of people herein have been constantly improved…As of late 2010, 95% of people in the rural region were in use of clean water; 96.7% of rural communes, wards and townships got national standards in health; 60 markets, 10 cultural centers and 8 cultural houses were built in the rural region…

 Building a civilized and modern countryside

 The common objectives of the national target program on building a new countryside” are to build socio-economic infrastructure towards modernization; combine agricultural development with fast development of industry-services and urban development under planning; protect the ecological environment; maintain social order and security…

 As planned, in 2011, the province will focus on implementing some key tasks as follows:

-Setting up the district-level steering boards of the national target program on building a new countryside and the communal-level management boards of building a new countryside.

-Giving training to officials in charge of building a new countryside

-Fulfilling the assessment of the new countryside situation under the province’s criteria

-Designing planning for communes that are selected for building a new countryside till 2015 and orientations towards 2020…

 To build 40% of communes under the new countryside formula by 2015, provincial steering board for building a new countryside will focus on disseminating information about the national target program on building a new countryside, fulfill planning for 29 communes selected to implement this program…, according to Doan Van Trang, vice-director of provincial Department of Agricultural and Rural Development.
