Late Dec.31, provincial Party Committee, People’s Council, People’s Committee and Fatherland Front Committee solemnly organized a ceremony to celebrate the 13th anniversary of the province’s reestablishment (Jan.1, 1997-Jan.1, 2010) and the provincial Enterprises’ Day.

At the ceremony, provincial chairman Nguyen Hoang Son reviewed the province’s achievements in all aspects over the 13 past years. The province now has an economic structure with 62.3% of industry, 32,4% of services and 5.3% of agriculture. In 2009, the province’s GDP increased by 10.3% and the provincial average income per capital was more than VND21.5mln. The whole province is now home to 28 industrial parks with nearly 9,000 ha in total and 10 industrial compounds with more than 800ha in total. So far, the province has lured 1,850 FDI projects and over 8,300 domestic ones. The material and spiritual lives of the local people have been also obviously raised.

On this occasion, 48 outstanding enterprises and entrepreneurs were honored with noble awards such as the State’s second and third-class Independence Orders, the Government PM, the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry, provincial People’s Committee’s certificates of merit, the emulation banners.
