To develop robustly
Binh Duong is one of the localities that early developed industrial parks (IPs) in Vietnam and attained many important socio-economic results. In 2021, the province's total product reached VND 408,861 billion, 104.3 times higher than in 1997. In which, services increased 112.2 times and industry increased 140.6 times. This growth rate made Binh Duong a high-middle-income area with a per capita GRDP of USD7,000/person/year and a province with strong development in trade and service.
Binh Duong continued to look for a new, more comprehensive model that not only develop solely industry but also service and urban system at the same time. With a strategic move, Binh Duong learned about Singapore's industrial development, enhanced investment in trade service infrastructure, learned how to promote trade, expanded its marketing system and introduce the province's investment to the world.
According to Nguyen Van Hung, at the time of the establishment of VSIP 1 in Thuan An City and later the Industrial - Urban - Service Complex, the leading enterprises of the province accompanied the province and expanded Highway 13. This is the first and important traffic axis as a lever for connecting the industrial zone system of Binh Duong with Tan Son Nhat airport. After forming the regional traffic plan, the My Phuoc - Tan Van - Bau Bang route continued to be formed to complete the traffic axis connecting to seaports and international airports, such as Long Thanh airport, Cai Mep - Thi Vai port.
In addition, connecting roads along horizontal axis in the province, such as DT743, DT746, North Tan Uyen - Phu Giao - Bau Bang, and some sections of Ring Road 3, Ring Road 4, create a regional transport system that connects industrial zones with each other and connects to seaports and international airports, forming a complete complex, consolidating competitive advantages for the province. That led to the rapid development of large industrial zones, attracting many domestic and foreign investors, and millions of people to live and work in Binh Duong.
According to Pham Van Dong (Thuan An City): “More than 20 years ago, when our family was located in a site clearance area for Highway 13, this city was still very deserted. When VSIP 1 and other industrial zones were born, it led to the development of many industries to serve people’s needs. In the expansion of National Highway 13, my family’s house was also in the area of compensation and site clearance. Then, Thuan An will continue to develop more spaciously with a series of commercial centers, international schools, international hospitals, golf courses, becoming an urban and service center of the province.
To maintain balance

This is considered an important factor to help Binh Duong attract more investment inflows in the coming time, especially high-quality commercial and service capital, which is expected to pour into Binh Duong, continue to improve development.

With all good prospects from that reality, I believe that Binh Duong is gradually becoming one of the most attention-grabbing cities in Vietnam today, one of the most livable cities in Vietnam."
