Ensuring economic census on schedule

On the morning of March 24, Nguyen Thanh Truc, Vice-Chairman of provincial People's Committee, Head of provincial Steering Board for the  2021 Economic Census  worked with provincial Department of Home Affairs and Statistics Office about preparation for the upcoming economic census.

According to provincial Statistics Office, provincial Steering Committees at all levels have so far rechecked and updated the list of production and business enterprises and cooperatives; production and business establishments under administrative agencies and productive agencies; religious and belief establishments; and individual non-agricultural, fishery and forestry business and production establishments for the census. It is expected that relevant agencies will fulfill collection of information from enterprises by the end of June. So far, collection of information from units under administrative agencies and associations has so far reached 36%.

Meanwhile, leaders of provincial Department of Home Affairs said that the Department rechecked and completed the list of administrative establishments while  organizing training courses for supervisors and system administrators in order to ensure collection of information to be accurate. The Department is investigating, collecting information and will conduct declaration until April 20, 2021.

Speaking at the working session, Mr. Truc noted that provincial Steering Standing Committee of the 2021 Economic Census needs to coordinate with relevant departments and sectors to urge enterprises with financial reports to conduct statistics. Particularly, the progress of reporting from production and business establishments under administrative agencies and associations is still low, so it is necessary to remind and urge localities to speed up the progress. The Steering Standing Committee also needs to monitor over localities with slow progress in order to find out difficulties for removal, contributing to ensuring the census on schedule.
