After 3 years of launching the service in 2007, FPT Binh Duong has had tens of thousands of subscribers for IPTV service. Meanwhile, despite its new birth in mid 2009, VNPT Binh Duong is quick-witted to launch the technology to local users.

IPTV has indicated its preeminence compared to traditional TV technology. IPTV allows users to enjoy films on demand. Especially, football fans can rewatch their favorable football matches.

IPTV has become familiar with local people. Now, users only spend about VND1mil to enjoy IPTV service. In early April, 2010, VNPT Binh Duong launched a big promotional package to occupy local market. Accordingly, the provider gives a 50% discount to those who buy a set top box plus free installation fee and three months of broadband Internet charges. The price for a package subscription is VND110,000 per month. Thanks to the promotion program, the company’s set top boxes are in shortage to supply for clients.

Obviously, after a reservation with IPTV, local residents started familiar with the new service. However, the quality of the service is now questioned.
