Goods prices flying away
At present, price of pork has increased over VND10,000 per kg whilst egg price jumps to 500-700 per ten. Besides, gas cooking price is at over VND350,000 per canister. The price hike has made customers shock. Even, without update of price, customers will be backward rapidly.
Price stability at supermarkets

Customers have tightened their belt amid price storm.
Amid price hike, local customers flock to supermarkets to hunt for discount products. Owing to goods reserve, supermarkets have a slower price hike than outdoor markets. Le Hong Phuong, vice director of Vinatex Binh Duong, said supermarkets are also retailers and suffer pressure on price hike. However, to stabilize selling price, supermarkets take advantage of preferential capital sources from the State budget to purchase and reserve commodities.Meanwhile, Vo Huu Thach, director of Coopmart Binh Duong, said from the middle of April prices of food, cosmetics, milk, household utensils… were adjusted to surge 10-15%. However, to share difficulties with customers and lure more clients, the mart has launched promotion programs.
