According to the Ministry of Investment and Planning, two important socio-economic targets of GDP and consumption price index (CPI) in the first half of this year reached remarkable results. Specifically, GDP in early 6 months obtained about 6.1% whilst CPI surged 0.22% from previous month.

The ministry affirmed, the country economy keeps recovering rapidly in the first half of this year. All areas reached a high growth pace. Accordingly, agro-forestry and seafood industry surged 2.7-3.2%, industry and construction 6-6.7% and service 6.8-7.2%.

Besides, in the period foreign investment registration amounted US$8.43bil. Among 33 staple industrial items, 20 items gained a remarkable growth in output including petrol, liquid gas and so on.

According to the general Statistics Office, CPI in June jumped 0.22% from May and 4.78% from Dec. 2009. CPI in 6 months of 2010 surged 8.75% from half of early 2009.
