Thanks to its favorable climate and soil, Phu Giao district has developed many small-scaled farm models, bringing high economic efficiency. This result has also come from the efforts of the local farmers and relevant agencies.

Nguyen Van Biec, chairman of Phu Giao district’s Farmers’ Association said that his association has over time joined hands with the district’s Division of Economics, Agricultural Promotion Station, Plant Protection Station to guide and support the local farmers to set up many modern farm models, which have initially brought substantial efficiency.

Many local farmers have also learnt to develop many new farm models by themselves, including the models of breeding guinea-fowls, crickets, pigeons, mother cows, wild boars, crocodiles, porcupines... They are seen as the typical models with high economic efficiency, contributing to raising the living standards of the local farmer households and reshaping the local countryside in the new context.

Developing the farm models with new crop and animal breeds by farmers in Phu Giao district and other localities is an indispensable trend in tune with the consumption demand of high-quality farm products at present. To be able to maintain and foster the above farm models, farmers in Phu Giao in particular and those in the province in general need more support from concerned agencies and authorities at all levels
