Early June 10, provincial chairman Nguyen Hoang Son received the new Chairman of the Japanese Business Association Toshio Kashiwagi.

At the reception, Mr.Toshio Kashiwagi thanked provincial leaders for their attention and help to Japanese businesses over the past time. He also expresses concerns over the shortage of skilled workforce and power, affecting the operations of the business community herein.

Regarding the above concerns, Mr.Son said that power shortage is a common situation for the whole country. Some thermo-electric plants are being prepared for operation, so power shortage will be basically solved from 2011. In terms of workforce, Binh Duong now has 7 universities and many vocational facilities that are cooperating with businesses to give vocational training for laborers at businesses’ demand. In addition to around 30,000 laborers getting training on site, Binh Duong annually links with other localities to absorb around 15,000 laborers at businesses’ demand.
